One Connection. Many Voices.
The Gospel in Many Tongues.

Across the Lower Columbia, worship is more than a weekly gathering — it is a shared journey shaped by many voices.

A Community of Voices
LCUMC is led by a preaching team of six pastors and two certified lay speakers.
Our rotating schedule brings every congregation a vibrant mix of preaching styles, traditions, and cultural perspectives — a reminder that the Body of Christ sings in many harmonies, not just one melody.

Whether you worship in Castle Rock or St. Helens, Kalama or Longview, Rainier or online, you are part of a community shaped by shared leadership and spiritual generosity. This is preaching as the early church knew it: collaborative, Spirit-led, and beautifully diverse.

Come listen. Come learn. Come be surprised by how God speaks through many voices — and how that diversity forms us into one Connection.

Welcome message from pastors

Welcome,  friends.

Across the Lower Columbia, God is gathering a new kind of community — one woven from five churches, many stories, and one shared hope. We call this hope the Lower Columbia United Methodist Connection. Not a merger. Not a project. A connection — a way of being church that trusts the Spirit to lead us forward together. We’ve seen again and again that when people pray, serve, and dream side by side, something new and hopeful takes root. Love begins to move.

This connection is built on the simple belief that every congregation has gifts to offer, and every person has a place to belong. All of it matters.

As we step into this season, our prayer is that you will feel at home here. Whether you are simply curious, returning after a long time away, or searching for a spiritual community that meets life with both grace and honesty — you are welcome.

We invite you to worship with us, serve with us, learn with us, and help us build a ministry marked by compassion, trust, and genuine connection.

Faith in action. Love in motion.
This is the path we walk together.

With gratitude and hope,
Dr. Lydia & Pastor Scott

Lower Columbia United Methodist Connection
Faith in Action. Love in Motion.

We are five United Methodist churches along the Columbia River, uniting to grow
disciples, deepen connection, and serve our communities with grace and purpose.
Together, we believe that faith is stronger when shared, and that every church—no matter its size—has a vital role in God's story of love, justice, and hope.
